Setting myself a challenge: A May Blogathon

Am I crazy?

I've signed up for the 2010 WordCount Blogathon in which bloggers commit to post every day during the month of May. Yes, that means at least 31 blog posts during the month of May.

I typically post 11 to 15 times a month. So I've got to double or triple my output. Yikes!

One of my survival techniques is to look at unfinished drafts. I've got 80+. Some of them must be worth finishing.

Please let me know if there are topics you'd like me to address this month. A little outside inspiration would help.

Meanwhile, here's the list of my fellow Blogathoners

    1. We've got a great list here! I could spend an entire day reading all these wonderful blogs. (And I probably will!)

    2. So why do you feel compelled to post once a day for the month of May? Are you doing it in the hopes of increasing search engine rankings? To see if traffic increases?
I'm curious, as I've debated with myself on how frequently I should update my own blog. For now, I've decided that when I feel I have something of significance to say, then I'll add a post.

    3. Bill,

I'm curious about whether more frequent blogging will drive up traffic. But that's not the real reason why I plan to post daily.

I've got so many things that I'd like to write about. By participating in Michelle Rafter's Blogathon for freelance writers, I hope to discipline myself to write about more of these topics.

Under normal circumstances, I try to blog at least once a week. I'm a bit worried that posting daily will make me lower my standards.
